Baha is another game in the surprisingly long catalog of games by “the makers of UNO”. While it can be enjoyed, Baha fails to be anything more than an average game due to the luck involved in the game.

Tic-Tac-Toe is a classic game enjoyed by many people. Unfortunately the game is not very strategic and has actually been solved where if neither player makes a mistake the game will always end in a tie. Tic-Tac Two tries to fix the problems with Tic-Tac-Toe by allowing players to move around the grid that the game is played on. While it is better that Tic-Tac-Toe, Tic-Tac Two has plenty of its’ own issues.

Take a well regarded publisher like Avalon Hill and add in some wacky inventions and you would assume that you would get at least a pretty good game. Unfortunately with The Game of Inventions, that is far from the case.

Dixit is widely recognized as one of the best games to have come out in the last couple of years. Dixit Jinx is probably not as good as the original game, but it is still a very solid game.

The biggest problem with the game War was its’ high reliance on luck. Over the years many games have tried to eliminate some of the luck with some succeeding while others have failed miserably. Slapshot slaps a hockey theme on the game of War and does a decent job of fixing some of its’ problems.

In the 1930’s through the 1950’s a radio show by the name of Fibber McGee and Molly ruled the airwaves. In 1940 Milton Bradley tried to make a board game based on the comedy. While the “Mad Lib” story mechanic can provide some laughs, the game is otherwise sorely lacking.

A while ago I played a game called Wits and Wagers. Although not being a particularly deep game, Wits and Wagers was a lot of fun. Guesstimation tries to follow in the footsteps of Wits and Wagers. Unfortunately it fails to stand out in any way and in many ways is inferior to Wits and Wagers.

Do you remember from school when you had to make those poems where you took a word and then had to come up with a word that started with each letter of the original word? Well as it turns out those are called acrostics and they just so happen to the basis behind the game Across Ticklers. Across Ticklers has an interesting gameplay mechanic but there is little else to the game.

Growing up in the early 1990’s I have fond memories of playing Grabbin’ Grasshoppers when I was young. After so many years the question becomes how well has the game held up? I think the game would still be quite fun for children, but it is only a quick distraction for adults.

In Maximum Throwdown the object of the game is to throw cards in order to increase the number of symbols showing on your cards while covering up your opponent’s symbols. While the game can be fun at times, it is not a particularly deep experience.
