While not nearly as popular as it once was, in the early 1980s Q*Bert was one of the most popular arcade games. For those of you who have never played Q*Bert the basic premise of the game is to avoid the enemies while jumping on all of the cubes to change them into the target color. Q*Bert was one of the first marketable video game characters along with Pac-Man. Q*Bert is also generally considered the first character in video game history to swear. While Q*Bert has had several sequels created over the years, the game was never able to sustain its’ early success. In recent years though Q*Bert has had a small resurgence due to cameos in the movies Wreck It Ralph and Pixels.
This pattern creates a Q*Bert amigurumi that stands approximately five inches tall. I would consider this project to be on the easier side since it doesn’t require any complicated stitches and doesn’t have as many parts as a lot of my other patterns.
Note: This pattern is provided for free so I would appreciate that it not be used for commercial use. You may not copy this pattern and then try to sell it. I would appreciate that this pattern not be copied and posted in its’ entirety on other websites. Feel free to post images of your completed works wherever you want but a link back to this page would be appreciated.

Fasten off leaving enough yarn to sew up the back of the body.

Fasten off leaving enough yarn to sew the legs to the bottom of the body. Before attaching the legs to the body you will need to stuff them.
Eyes
You will use the black and white yarn to create two eyes. Start with the black yarn.
Round 1: CH x 2 (2 stitches)
Round 2: SC x 4 (4 stitches)
Switch to the white yarn.
Round 3: INC x 4 (8 stitches)
Round 4: INC x 2, SC x 2, INC x 2, SC x 2 (12 stitches), SL
Fasten off leaving enough yarn to sew the eyes to the body.
Assembly
First to complete the legs you have to attach the feet to the bottom of the legs using the extra yarn from the feet.
Next attach the eyes to the body using the extra white yarn from both eyes.
Attach the legs to the bottom of the body using the extra yarn from the legs. After you attach the legs you have completed the Q*Bert amigurumi.
