The game of Foosball also known as table football/soccer and a number of other names has been around for over 100 years. Basically the game simulates a game of football/soccer with the players being attached to metal rods. You turn the rods which swings the players back and forth. You use this motion in order to hit/kick the ball into the other player’s goal. While the game has been around for a long time, it really hasn’t changed all that much. I have always enjoyed Foosball and was curious what you would get if you tweaked the formula to work for other sports. For example what would you get if you combined the basic premise behind Foosball with Basketball? Well that is exactly what Foosketball tries to accomplish.

Objective of Foosketball
The objective of Foosketball is to score five points before the other player.
Assembly of the Gameboard
Snap the two sides of the gameboard together.

Insert the playing service into the slots of the gameboard

Snap the two gray connectors to both sides of the gameboard.

Insert the two sticks/handles into the holes in the two connectors. Place the handles on the corresponding color side of the gameboard.

Snap each player into their corresponding colored handles. Make sure the player is facing the other player’s basketball hoop.

Insert the gates into both sides of the board.

Insert a hoop/net into each backboard.

Push the basketball hoop pole into the gameboard. Connect the basketball hoop to the pole.

Setup
One player sits behind each hoop. They will control the corresponding player during the game.
Five balls will be placed behind each gate. It doesn’t matter which player has the golden ball behind their gate.

When both players are ready, the gates are lifted up to release the balls into the center of the gameboard.

Playing the Game
Foosketball has no turns. Both players will play at the same time.
To begin you will use both of your hands to pick up a ball. Each handle corresponds to one of your player’s hands. To grab the ball you need to turn both handles at the same time until you have a ball in your grasp.

With both hands still holding onto the ball, you will pull it back behind your player’s head. You want to keep both hands on the ball or it otherwise will likely fall out of your hands.

When you get the ball behind your player’s head, you can move the left arm off the ball and towards the front of the player.

With the ball in your back hand you want to pull back your right hand slightly and then quickly twist it forward. This should launch the ball at the other player’s hoop.
If the ball goes through the hoop it will be caught by the gate and stay behind the hoop. Whenever you make a shot you will score a point. If you make a basket with the gold ball, you will score two points.
Winning Foosketball
The game ends when one of the players has scored five points. This player has won the game.

Alternative Rules
Instead of playing with all of the balls at the same time, you could also decide to just use one of the balls. The players will decide how many points they will play to. The first player to reach that many points wins the game.
