Objective of Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots: Knock or Block
The goal of Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots: Knock or Block is to be the first player to punch your opponent’s robot three times.
Setup
Start by assembling the two Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots. To do so, place the head onto the body of each robot and snap both of them into place. Place the blue robot (Blue Bomber) on the side of the base with the blue punch button and the red robot (Red Rocker) onto the side with the red button. Pull each robot’s punching arm into position (by swinging them away from their bodies). You will hear a click when each one is in the right position. Then, pull out the tabs on both sides of the base. Finally, if this is your first time playing the game apply the labels to the dice and the name stickers to the back of each robot. Each die should have three sides that say “K” in one color and three that say “O” in the opposite color.
Playing Rock ’em Sock ’em Robots: Knock or Block
Rolling the Dice and Identifying a “K.O.”
To begin the game, the youngest player picks which robot to play as (either Blue Bomber or Red Rocker). Each player takes one die (it doesn’t matter which one) and prepares to roll. Players then roll at the same time. What they do afterwards depends on how the two dice landed.
If the result of the roll is either “K” and “K” or “O” and “O,” nothing happens and both players prepare to roll again.
However, if one of the dice lands on “K” and the other “O,” the game is on. Quickly figure out which color the dice landed on (both should be the same color as long as you applied the decals correctly). If the two dice are your color, try to hit the punch button as fast as you possibly can. If they are your opponent’s color, try to hit the block button before your opponent hits their punch button to block the punch. For example, if the dice land as a blue “K” and “O,” the blue player should quickly hit the punch button while the red player should go for the block button. If the two dice land on red, the roles will be reversed.

A red “KO” has been rolled. The red player should quickly press their punch button while the blue player should try to press their block button.
Results of a “K.O.” Roll
If the punching player manages to hit their opponent’s robot before they block, they score a point. However, if the other player is able to block the punch (by pressing the block button before their opponent presses their punch button), no points are awarded. If you hit the punch button when you were supposed to be blocking, your opponent scores a point. If a player successfully blocks a punch but their robot’s head still pops off by accident, no points are scored.

The red player managed to press their punch button before the blue player was able to block. The blue robot’s head has popped off and the red player scores a point.
Starting a New Round
Place any robot head(s) that pop off back onto their body and press down to lock it/them back into place. Then get ready for the next round. Continue rolling at the same time until another “K” and “O” show up. Repeat this process until the end of the game.
