Coming to theaters on December 15th, 2017 I along with many other people are excited for the next Star Wars adventure Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi. While I have been mostly staying away from spoilers for the movie, it was hard to ignore the announcement of the Porgs a new alien species that will appear in the movie. Porgs are bird creatures that are native to the planet Ahch-To (the planet that episode seven ended on). While it is yet to be determined whether people will love or hate Porgs, it is hard to deny that they are quite cute.
This pattern creates a Porg amigurumi that stands approximately seven to eight inches tall. I would classify this pattern as light to moderately difficult due to the number of parts that need to be created and how often you have to change colors for the body.
Note: This pattern is provided for free so I would appreciate that it not be used for commercial use. You may not copy this pattern and then try to sell it. I would appreciate that this pattern not be copied and posted in its’ entirety on other websites. Feel free to post images of your completed works wherever you want but a link back to this page would be appreciated.

Body
For the body you will be using the brown and white/off white yarn. You will start with the brown yarn. I would recommend adding stuffing every so often as it will be much harder to add stuffing if you wait until the end.

Assembly
The first step for assembly involves sewing the eyes to the body.
Next I added the upper mouth. I placed the nostrils near the area where the white yarn begins on the body. I then curved the mouth into a downward curve while sewing the mouth onto the body.
Then I added the lower mouth directly below the upper mouth. For the lower mouth I used the white yarn to sew on the bottom of the piece and then used some black yarn to sew on the rest of the mouth to make the mouth more noticeable.
Then I added the two wings to the sides of the amigurumi.
Finally I added the feet to the bottom of the amigurumi.
