Greedy Granny Board Game: Rules and Instructions for How to Play

Objective of Greedy Granny

The objective of Greedy Granny is to acquire one of each type of treat without waking up Granny.

Setup

Place the top half of Granny into the recliner base. Once the pieces snap together, they are firmly attached.
Insert Granny’s teeth into her mouth.
Pull back on the chair until you hear a click sound.
Load all of the treats into the tray on Granny’s lap.
The youngest player starts the game.

Playing Greedy Granny

You will begin your turn by spinning the treat wheel. What action you will take on your turn depends on what you spin.

Green Sections

If you spin a green section, you will have the opportunity to take a treat from Granny’s tray.

Take A Treat in Greedy Granny — This player spun the green section on the treat wheel. They choose to take one of the pretzels from the tray.

The number next to the button symbol indicates how many times you must press the button to the side of Granny’s chair.

Pressing the Button on Granny's Chair — This player spun the green section with 3x on it. They will have to press the button three times.

Purple Sections

When you spin a purple section, you must return one of your treats to Granny’s tray. If you don’t have a treat, you don’t have to return one.

Put Back Treat in Greedy Granny — This player spun one of the purple sections on the treat wheel. They will have to put one of their treats back.

You will then press the button next to Granny a number of times equal to the number on the section you spun.

Skip Section

If you spin the skip section on the treat wheel, you will lose your turn.

Steal a Treat Section

When you spin this section of the treat wheel, you have the opportunity to steal a treat from another player. You can choose which player that you want to steal from. You also get to choose which treat you want to take.

Stealing A Treat From Another Player — This player spun the symbol allowing them to steal a treat from another player. They will add the treat to their own set of treats.

Waking Granny

By pressing the button on the side of Granny’s chair, you are moving her closer to waking up. If Granny wakes up on your turn, you must return to her tray all of the treats that you have taken.

Wake Granny in Greedy Granny — When this player pressed the button on Granny’s chair, she woke up. This player will return their treats and any that flew off the tray to Granny’s tray.

Push on the back on the chair in order to reset Granny. The game then continues like normal.

Winning Greedy Granny

The objective of Greedy Granny is to collect one of each type of treat. The first player to acquire one of each type of treat wins the game.

If Granny wakes up as you are acquiring the last treat, you must return all of your treats to the tray. The game then continues with the next player.
