Objective for Disney Cookie Swap Card Game

The objective of Disney Cookie Swap Card Game is to be the first team to complete three Cookie card sets of the same character before the other players.

Setup

  • Place the Cookie Sheet in the center of the table.
  • Depending on the number of players, you will remove some Cookie card sets (all four cards of the same character) from the deck.
    • 2 players – Remove 9 sets
    • 3 players – Remove 6 sets
    • 4 players – Remove 3 sets
    • 5 players – Remove no sets
  • Shuffle the remaining Cookie cards.
  • Place four Cookie cards face up on the Cookie Sheet.
  • Deal each player three stacks of four cards face down.
  • The youngest player starts the game.

Playing Disney Cookie Swap Card Game

To begin your turn you will choose one of your face down stacks.

To start their turn this player will choose one of their three stacks to look at.

You will look at the four cards in the stack without letting the other players see.

This player decided to look at the left stack. Normally they would look at the cards so no one else could see them, but for illustrative purposes they are visible in this picture. This player has two Stitch cards, one Moana, and one Ariel card in the stack.

After looking at the cards in the stack, the player chooses one of the cards to swap with a card from the Cookie Sheet.

As this player had two Stitch cards in the stack that they looked at, they should probably take the Stitch card from the Cookie Sheet.

The player chose the Stitch card and added it to their stack. They decided exchange the Ariel card for it.

To replace the Stitch card this player added the yellow Ariel card to the now empty space on the Cookie Sheet.

The player will now look at the four cards in the stack. If all four cards have the same character on them, you have completed that stack. You will place the stack face up in front of you and shout “Ding!”

This player has acquired four Stitches in the same stack. They have completed the stack. They will keep the stack face up for the rest of the game.

If all four cards in the stack are not the same character, you will place the stack on the table face down.

Play then passes to the next player.

The game ends as soon as one of the players have placed all of their stacks face up on the table. This player has won the game.

This player has completed all three of their stacks. They have created three stacks where all of the cards are the same character. This player has won the game.

Alternative Ways to Play

Hot Hands

All of the players will play the game at the same time. Players will not take turns. You can swap cards as quickly as you want. Whenever you take a card from the Cookie Sheet, you must immediately replace it with a card from one of your stacks.

Expert Bakers

To make Disney Cookie Swap Card Game more difficult, give the players more stacks of cards to complete. If some players need more help than others, give the older/better players more stacks to complete.

Cookie Crazy

If there are only two or three players, you can choose to play a longer game. Give each player one or two more stacks to complete.
