Objective of Color Brain Disney
The objective of Color Brain Disney is to score ten points before the other teams by correctly identifying the colors of specific Disney characters.
Setup
- If there are four or less players, each player plays as their own team. If there is more than four players, the players will divide into teams.
- Each team chooses a mascot/number.
- Each team takes the 11 Color Cards that match their number/mascot. All of the teams also take one Color Capture Card.
- Place the scorepad and box of Color Brain Cards in the middle of the table.
Playing Color Brain Disney
Each round begins with one of the players drawing a Question Card. They will read the card out loud holding it so none of the players including themselves can see the answer on the back of the card.
Each team looks through their Color Cards and chooses a color(s) that they think matches the question. The Question Card mentions how many cards you need to play. Once you have chosen your card(s), you will place them facedown on the table.
When the first team places their card(s) on the table, they will say “Color Brain”. The rest of the teams have 15 seconds in order to put down their card(s). If they don’t put down any cards, they automatically get the current round’s question wrong.
Revealing the Correct Answer
Once the 15 seconds have passed, all of the players will reveal the card(s) they submitted.
Flip over the Question Card. The answer to the question is printed on the back of the card.
You will then score the round.
Any team that answers wrong, scores nothing. Should the answer have multiple colors, if any of the colors you submit are wrong you submitted a wrong answer. If all of the teams are wrong in a round, no teams score points from the current round.
All of the teams that submitted the correct answer, can potentially score points. Determine how many teams were wrong. Each correct team scores one point for each team that was wrong. For example teams 1 and 3 were correct and teams 2 and 4 were wrong. Teams 1 and 3 would each score two points.
For each point your team scores, color in one of the spots on the scoresheet.
You will then draw a new Question Card for the next round.
Rollover
If all of the teams get the answer correct in a round, the players trigger a rollover. No teams score points in the current round. One point is moved onto the next question.
You will play the next question normally. Any teams that earn points in the next round, score one additional point due to the rollover from the previous round.
Should all of the teams get the second question correct, two bonus points are moved onto the next question. This continues until there is a question where at least one team gets it wrong.
If all of the teams get a question wrong that had rollover points added to it, the rollover points are lost.
Color Capture
Each team receives one Color Capture card at the start of the game.
You may only play the card once during the game. You can only play the card against the team in first place. Once a Question Card has been read, Color Capture cards can no longer be used for that question.
When you play the Color Capture Card, you will blindly take eight Color Cards from the team currently in the lead. The leading team can’t use those eight cards for the next question. After the next Question Card has been played, the team gets the eight Color Cards back.
Winning Color Brain Disney
The first team to score 10 points wins Color Brain Disney.
