Setup

- Place the easel in the middle of the table where everyone can see it.
- The youngest player starts the game as the judge.
How to Play What Do You Meme? Family Edition
Each round begins with the current judge looking through the Photo Cards for one that they like. They will place the card they chose on the easel so everyone can see it.

All of the players beside the judge look at the Caption Cards in their hand. They are looking for a card in their hand that works well with the picture on the easel. You can use whatever criteria you want to pick your Caption Card. You probably want to pick a card that you think the judge will find funny though as they ultimately get to pick who wins the round. When you have chosen a card, you will pass it facedown to the judge.

If a player doesn’t like the Caption Cards in their hand, they can choose to discard one of the Photo Cards they acquired in the game (from winning a round) in order to discard their whole hand and draw seven new Caption Cards.
Choosing the Best Caption
Once the judge has received a Caption Card from each player, they will shuffle all of the cards so they don’t know who submitted each card. They will then read the cards out loud.

After the judge has read all of the cards, they will choose which submitted Caption Card they thought was the funniest. The judge can use whatever criteria they want when they pick the funniest card. Whichever player submitted the funniest card gets to take the Photo Card used in the round. The Photo Card is worth one point.

The next round then begins. Each player that played a Caption Card draws a new card so they have seven cards in their hand. The role of judge moves one player to the left.
Winning the Game
The game ends when one of the players have acquired enough Photo Cards in order to win the game. The number of Photo Cards required to win the game depends on the number of players.
- 3 players: 7 cards
- 4-5 players: 5 cards
- 6-10 players: 4 cards
The first player to acquire enough Photo Cards wins the game.

If you would like to make the game shorter or longer, you can change the number of Photo cards required to win the game.
