How to Play Soggy Doggy

You will begin your turn by rolling the die. What you roll on the die determine what you will do on your turn.

Rolling pink on the die
The current player has rolled pink on the die.

Should you roll blue, pink, red or yellow, you will move your marker clockwise to the next unoccupied space that matches the color you rolled. You will then take an action based on what is printed on the space you landed on. The the space section below for more details.

Moving to the next pink space
After rolling pink on the die, the current player moves their pawn to the nearest pink space on the board.
Roll ? on the die

If you roll a ? on the die, you will roll the die again and take the corresponding action.

Rolling the paw print on the die

Should you roll a paw print, you will take your mover and move it to the space in front of the player that is in first (closest to the finish).

Moving to the front after rolling a paw print
The yellow player rolled a paw print on the die. They will move their pawn to the pink space in front of the red player.

After you complete your turn, play continues with the player on your left (clockwise).

Soggy Doggy Spaces

Paw print space

Paw Prints

If you land on a space that shows a handle with a paw print on it, you will push down on the paw print handle the corresponding number of times. Should the space has a one on it, you will push the handle once. If there is a two on the space, you will push the handle twice.

Pushing the paw print handle
The paw print space pictured above had a 2 on it. The current player has to press the paw print handle twice.
Dog Bone Handle space

Dog Bone

Should you land on a space that shows a handle that has a dog bone on it, you will turn the dog bone handle clockwise half a turn (until it clicks). If the space has a one on it, you will turn the handle until you hear one click. Should the space have a two on it, you will turn the handle until you hear two clicks.

Dog bone handle
The dog bone space above had a one on it. When you land on that space, you need to turn the dog bone handle one time.

The Dog Shakes the Water Off

Each time a player turns the dog bone handle, there is a chance that Soggy Doggy will start to shake the water off. To stop the dog from shaking, you will turn the dog bone handle one half turn until you hear a clicking sound.

For making the dog shake off the water, you will move your mover back to the Basket Space (start space). You will take the token that matches your mover.

Getting sent back to start due to making the dog shake
The yellow player made the dog shake off the water. They are sent back to the start space. They will receive their token though which will protect them if they make the dog shake off water again.

If the dog starts shaking off the water and you have your matching token, you can turn in the token in order to stay on your current space instead of having to go back to the Basket Space.

Using your token to avoid going back to start
The blue player made the dog shake off the water. Normally they would have to move their mover back to start. They have their token though, so they can use it to stay on their current space.

After you deal with the dog shaking off the water, play continues with the next player in a clockwise direction.

Winning the Game

The first player to make it back to the Basket Space after moving around the entire board wins the game.

Winning Soggy Doggy
The red player has moved around the entire board and has made it back to the Basket Space. They have won the game.

Cleanup

After you are done playing the game, you should clean out the bathtub to prevent damage to the game.

Tip all of the water out of the bathtub. Press the paw print handle a couple to times to get all of the water out of the game unit. Use an absorbent cloth or towel to dry the dog. Let all of the game pieces dry out before putting them back into the box.
