Let’s Go Fishin’ is a game originally released 1979 that has had many versions released over the years. There have been quite a few other games with different names that have used the same basic premise as well. The rules listed below should apply to all of these games that are similar to the original Let’s Go Fishin’.
Setup
- Insert batteries into the bottom of the game unit.
- Place one fish into each hole in the gameboard. The fish’s head should be facing upwards.
- Each player takes a fishing pole.

How to Play Let’s Go Fishin’
When everyone is ready to play the game, turn the switch to the on position. Once the game unit is turned on, the disc with all of the fish on it will start to rotate. The fish mouths will open and close.
All of the players play at the same time. The goal of the game is to catch as many fish as you can before the end of the game.
When you spot a fish with its mouth open, you will try to hold your fishing pole so the end is inside the fish’s mouth. Once the fish closes its mouth, you should pull up on your fishing pole to lift the fish out of the gameboard. If you successfully pull the fish out of the gameboard, place it in front of you.

You will then try to catch another fish. As all players are playing at the same time, you want to try and catch fish as quickly as possible.
Winning the Game
The game ends once all of the fish have been caught. Each player counts up how many fish they caught in the game. The player that caught the most fish wins the game.

When you are done playing the game you should manually spin the disk to make sure all of the fish are moved into the down position so the game fits back into the box.
