Setup for Donut Dash
- Insert three AAA batteries into the bottom of the car.
- Push the driver into the top of the car so it is facing the front of the car. Lift the car up while holding the driver to make sure that it is firmly in place.
- Open the hatch on the top of the engine. Randomly place the donut discs inside the engine. Close the hatch after you have placed all of the donut discs.
- Turn the on/off switch to the on position.
- Place the car in the middle of the table.
- Each player takes one of the donut boxes.
How to Play Donut Dash
The player who most recently ate a donut starts the game. They will press down on the driver’s head to start the car. The car should start driving and spinning around in circles.
When a donut is shot out of the car, all of the players quickly look at it to see if its color matches one of the colors on their donut box. If the donut matches one of your colors, you will race to try and grab it before the other players. You cannot take a donut that doesn’t match the colors on your donut box. The first player to touch the donut gets to keep it. Place the donut on top of any other donuts you have already placed on your donut box.
There are some rainbow donuts which match any color. Any of the players can grab the rainbow donuts.
Break
Eventually the car will start to make a sputtering sound and will stop moving. At this point the game temporarily stops. Whichever player the driver is pointing at has to return one of the donuts from their donut box to the car’s engine.
The player then pushes down on the head to start the car again.
Winning the Game
The game ends once the car starts honking. All of the players will race to push down on the driver’s head to stop the car. The player who stops the car by pressing down on the head gets to take two donuts from the other players. They can either take both donuts from the same player, or they can take one donut from two different players.
All of the players then count up how many donuts they have on their donut box. The player with the most donuts that match their colors, wins Donut Dash.
