Objective of Connect 4: Shots
The objective of Connect 4: Shots is to get four of your color balls in a row before the other player.
Setup
Slide out the two legs on the bottom of the gameboard.

Pull up on the back tray in order to detach it from the rest of the board. Pull the back tray until it is at an angle.

Slide the back tray up the gameboard until it reaches the top of the board. Push the tray upwards until it locks into position.

Add the cardboard backdrop to the top of the gameboard.

Push down on the lock on the bottom of the gameboard in order to release all of the balls. Each player should take all of the balls of their color. Set aside the orange ball as you will only use it for tiebreakers. Pull up on the lock in order to snap it back into place.

Playing the Game
If there are more than two players, the players will have to divide into two teams.
The players will countdown “1-2-3 Bounce”. At this time both players will start playing at the same time. There are no turns in the game so players can play as quickly or as slowly as they want.
To shoot one of your balls you will bounce it off the table. The ball must bounce at least once before it goes into the grid.

You may pick up any balls that miss the grid or bounce out of it. Once a ball lands and stays inside the grid or ramp though, you may not touch it.

Winning Connect 4: Shots
Connect 4: Shots can end in one of two ways.
If one of the players has bounced four balls in a row inside the grid, that player has won the game. You can win with four balls in a row vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Balls will only count if they are inside the grid. Balls in the ramp above the grid do not count.

If both players have bounced all of their balls into the grid and neither player has four in a row, the game will go to the tiebreaker.
The player that bounced all of their balls into the grid first gets to bounce the tiebreaker ball (orange ball) first.
Should they get the tiebreaker ball into the grid (not the ramp), they will win the game. If they don’t, the other player gets to take a turn bouncing the ball. The first player to get the tiebreaker ball into the grid wins the game.

When you are done playing Connect 4: Shots, follow the setup steps in reverse in order to store the game.
