5 Second Rule Uncensored is an adult game. As this is a family friendly website, for the examples below I will use the most family friendly cards. The cards included in the game can be quite a bit more adult/raunchier.

Setup
- Place the card box and timer in the middle of the table where everyone can reach it.
- Determine the number of rounds that the players will play. The game recommends two or three rounds for larger groups, and four or five rounds for smaller groups. You can play as many rounds as you want, but the players should agree on the number before the game starts.
- The player that owns the game gets to be the first player in the Hot Seat. Throughout the game the Hot Seat will pass to the right.
How to Play 5 Second Rule Uncensored
To start each turn the player to the left of the player in the Hot Seat takes a card from the box. They will read the card out loud to all of the players. Each card starts with “Name 3” followed by the category of the card. After the player has read off the card, they will flip over the timer.
The player in the Hot Seat has to quickly think of three things that match the category on the card. They should try to give out answers as quickly as they can. If the player is able to get three answers before the time runs out (5 seconds), they score a point. The timer runs out when the third ball reaches the bottom of the timer. They should take the card that was just used and place it in front of themselves to count as the point they scored.

If the player in the Hot Seat gets zero, one, or two answers when the timer runs out (the third ball reaches the bottom); the player has failed. The player on their right then gets a chance in the Hot Seat. They will try to name enough answers before the timer runs out. This second player cannot use any answers given by the previous player(s) on the Hot Seat. Players will keep taking turns trying to name three answers in time. The first player to name three answers in time, gets to take the card and scores a point. Should play get back to the original player in the Hot Seat, the original Hot Seat player gets to take the card and scores a point. They do not have to provide any answers in order to get the card.
Some answers given in the game may be questionable. If a player doesn’t think an answer should count, they can challenge it. The players then vote on whether it should count. The majority determines whether the answer counts or not. The game also says you can look up questionable answers online.
Whether the first Hot Seat player scored the point or another player, the role of the Hot Seat player passes one player to the right of the player who started in the Hot Seat in the current turn. The role of reader moves to the player to the left of the new Hot Seat player. They will draw a new card and read it out.
A round is completed once all of the players have started a turn as the first player in the Hot Seat.
Winning the Game
The game ends when the agreed upon number of rounds have been played. All of the players count up the number of points/cards they scored in the game. The player that scored the most points wins the game.

If there is a tie, the tied players will play a tiebreaking round. The oldest player gets to start in the Hot Seat. The first player to give three answers before the timer runs out wins the game.
