With the pedigree of an award winning television show I was hoping that the Planet Earth DVD Game was going to be a solid trivia game but it turns out to be one of the worst trivia games that I have ever played.
While Ripley’s Believe It or Not! could have made for a solid trivia game, the addition of several pointless mechanics ruin the game.
TV Guide: The Game is perfectly fine, at least for fans of both trivia games and television. However, it is quite outdated (over twenty years old) and only about one topic, meaning TV buffs (especially fans of older shows) will have a huge advantage over other players.
Battle of the Sexes: IQ Test is an awful game featuring terrible mechanics, a lack of questions, and completely unfunny (and somewhat sexist) humor.
Like most board games based on a gameshow, the Pyramid: Home Game is a fun faithful representation of the show but not much else.
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? is basically what you would expect out of a board game based on a gameshow, a generic completely average trivia game.
Name Burst has the makings of a solid party game except that time has not been kind to it.
Outburst has some issues but it has held up surprisingly well for a party game from the 1980s.
B.S. The Game has some interesting facts but doesn’t have much of a game to go with them.
Trivia For Dummies tries to simplify the trivia game while adding in a speed element which ends up creating a game that will only appeal to a small group of people.
